Lynda Bailey is a Melbourne-born artist living on Victoria’s Mornington Peninsula. She began her art journey by taking lessons in 2005 and then built momentum after a painting trip to Corfu in 2006. Her work is inspired by the scenery of the Mornington Peninsula, her travels in Australia and overseas, and photos from family and friends—often featuring vibrant colors, expressive clouds, and rich texture, with strong sapphire blues and ochre tones reminiscent of the Australian Kimberley.
Her paintings have been exhibited at venues including Stonnington Town Halls (Malvern and Prahran) and at multiple art shows such as Camberwell, Flinders, Derinya, Mt Eliza, Sorrento, Mornington and Bayside Rotary, Peninsula Arts Society, and Geelong Art Show. She has also been featured at the Mornington Peninsula Dental Clinic in Mornington, where all displayed paintings are for sale. Lynda accepts commission work; prices on her website and through Gallery247 exclude postage and packaging, but she can provide quotations, with free delivery available for Melbourne, Geelong, and the Mornington Peninsula.
